The Mombasa city County was created under the current Constitution of Kenya which was promulgated in 2010. It was a creation of the former City Council of Mombasa. Mombasa County is a city that blends people from all cultures and walks of life. Mombasa County is one of the 47 counties of Kenya. It is the most populous among the counties while at the same time it is the smallest, Mombasa city is the capital and largest city in Kenya.
